Group training is the main part of club activity, alongside independent training amongst members, races and social events.
Sessions take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from our club house in Leyton Jubilee Park. In addition, social runs are expected to begin on Sunday mornings following the next milestones of the UK Government roadmap of easing restrictions.
Tuesday night training sessions are for all runners aged 18 years and over, focusing on interval running at relative fast, recovery and sprint paces.
Members meet at the clubhouse and take a warm up run to a specific area planned for the length of intervals, followed by a return group run to cool down.
Thursday night training sessions are for all runners aged 18 years and over, focusing on tempo running around 90% of your maximum pace. It should feel challenging enough so that you can’t comfortably chat, but can manage a short sentence and can maintain the pace for the full session.
